Manufacturing Software Development Company

Custom software, ERP integration and AI for manufacturers. Built by senior engineers.

Custom Software Development for Manufacturers

JBS Dev is a custom software development company founded in 1999. We build custom software for manufacturers. Our teams are 100% senior level. We are an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner. We build new applications, connect the systems a plant already runs, and add AI to them. The ERP and other core systems stay in place.

What We Build for Manufacturers

ERP Integration and Custom Applications

ERP is one of our custom application specialties. Other specialties include scheduling systems, process automation, risk analysis, and POS. Integrations move orders, parts, and inventory data between the ERP and other systems. Staff stop re-keying data. Custom web applications cover work the ERP does not cover. We have designed hundreds of microservice systems from the ground up. A microservice adds a new function next to an existing system, without a full replacement.

AI Demand Forecasting

A manufacturer of high-volume, product-specific goods had a forecasting problem. Statistical forecasts missed demand. Some products were over-stocked, others under-stocked. We built a generative AI time-series forecast model on Amazon SageMaker. Sales data lives in Amazon S3. AWS Lambda runs the automation. An API serves the forecasts. The model consistently achieved 85-90% forecast accuracy. It outperformed the statistical and machine-learning methods the client had tested before.

Plain-English Search Over Manuals, Drawings and Specs

A large manufacturer in the heavy building materials industry had a search problem. The company has about 5,500 people in more than 15 countries. Manuals, drawings, and specs sat in many places. Manual search was slow. We built a web portal that answers questions in natural language. The stack uses Amazon S3, Amazon OpenSearch vector search, and an Amazon Bedrock large language model. Django runs on AWS Lambda with full authentication. Employees ask questions naturally and receive precise answers almost instantly.

AI Agents for BOM, Parts and Inventory Questions

One manufacturer had engineers pull BOM, parts, inventory, and order data from several systems by hand. They did this to answer a sourcing or engineering question. We built a team of specialized AI agents in the manufacturer's Azure environment. The agents turn questions into database queries, run "what if" scenarios, and check approved vendor sites. Engineers ask in plain English and get the analysis back. They can export it to Excel or PDF. We do not build fully autonomous agents. A person signs off on anything involving money or signatures.

Data Platforms and Reporting

We design and load data lakes, operational data stores, data warehouses, and data marts. We build ETL pipelines, real-time data streaming, reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Our databases include Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB. A data platform puts plant, sales, and inventory data in one place for reports and forecasts.

Legacy Application Modernization

We modernize legacy applications and move them to the cloud. Our cloud specialties include cloud migration, native cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, containerization, and microservices. We have managed hundreds of cloud-hosted systems. We can replace one part of a system at a time while the rest keeps running.

Technologies We Use

These are the tools named in our manufacturing work on this page.

  • AI and machine learning: Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon OpenSearch vector search, AI agents in Azure
  • Cloud and back end: AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Python, Django, microservices, infrastructure as code
  • Data: data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, real-time streaming, Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB
  • Legacy: cloud migration, containerization

How Our Engineering Teams Work

Every engineer is senior level. Every engineer clears a peer technical review, an advanced technical review, and a background check before client work. Our engineers can be your full team, or work beside your IT staff. We use continuous integration and continuous delivery. You see working software early and often for testing and review. AI work runs in your own AWS or Azure account, with role-based access. We do not send your data to a model that trains on it. We sign an NDA before technical discussions.

Start With a Free Technology Assessment

The Quick Launch Lab provides a free technology assessment. It reviews off-the-shelf versus extending your current system versus a custom build. It also covers cloud setup, security or compliance audits, and data or integration issues. You get a document with all findings and recommendations. There is no obligation to proceed, and you keep the deliverable.

Manufacturing Case Studies

AI-Driven Sales Forecasting on AWS for Manufacturing Inventory Optimization

We built a generative AI forecasting system on Amazon SageMaker for a manufacturer of high-volume, product-specific goods. The system achieves 85 to 90 percent forecast accuracy.

Implementing a GenAI-Powered Knowledge Base with AWS

We built a natural-language portal over manuals, drawings and specs for a heavy building materials manufacturer. The system uses Amazon Bedrock and OpenSearch to answer almost instantly.

Modernizing Knowledge Management with Agentic AI on AWS

We built an agentic AI system over thousands of manuals, specs, procedures and field reports for an industrial products and services provider. The legacy knowledge base was retired and employees use it hundreds of times per week.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a manufacturing software development company build?

We build custom web applications and ERP integrations. We also build data platforms and reports. We add AI demand forecasting and plain-English search over manuals and specs. We build AI agents for BOM and inventory questions. We modernize legacy applications. JBS Dev builds all of these for manufacturers.

Can you integrate custom software with our ERP?

Yes. ERP is one of our custom application specialties. Our integrations move orders, parts and inventory data between the ERP and other systems. AI agents can work inside your ERP. The ERP stays in place.

How can AI help a manufacturer?

AI improves demand forecasting. One manufacturer reached 85-90% forecast accuracy. It gives natural-language answers from manuals, drawings and specs. AI agents answer BOM, parts and inventory questions. A person signs off on anything involving money or signatures.

Where does our data go when you build AI systems?

AI work runs in your own AWS or Azure account with role-based access. We do not send your data to a model that trains on it. We sign an NDA before technical discussions.

Who works on our project?

100% senior-level engineers work on your project. Each one clears a peer technical review, an advanced technical review and a background check. They can be your full team or work beside your IT staff.
