Construction and Field Service Software Development Company
Scheduling, mobile apps and AI search for construction and field service teams; built by senior engineers
Custom Software Development for Construction and Field Service Companies
JBS Dev is a custom software development company founded in 1999. We build custom software for construction and field service companies. Our teams are 100% senior level. We are an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner. We build scheduling and case management systems, mobile apps, AI search over field documents and reporting. The systems your teams already use stay in place.
What We Build for Construction and Field Service
AI Search Over Manuals, Procedures and Field Reports
A long-established provider of industrial products and services operates several regional locations and a nationwide service footprint. Thousands of PDFs, including manuals, specs, procedures and field reports, were hard for staff and customers to search. We built retrieval-augmented generation plus agentic AI. The stack is Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases over Amazon S3. Claude Sonnet runs through Amazon Bedrock. LangChain and LangGraph handle orchestration. AWS Lambda runs the backend. An MCP server on AWS Fargate handles IT service management. Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL is the database. The legacy knowledge base was fully retired. Employees use the system hundreds of times per week to find answers and supporting documents.
Case and Program Management Platforms
Tidal Basin is an emergency and disaster management consulting firm with over 35 years of experience. We built a grant and case management platform with a forms engine and configurable workflows. The stack is Django, React, AWS Lambda, Amazon Aurora Serverless v2, Amazon CloudFront and AWS WAF. On the new platform, a new program is set up in 24 hours; the legacy platform took days and weeks. The system is load-tested to support 50,000 concurrent applications within 30 minutes. It was used for disaster survivors after the Maui wildfires and Hurricane Idalia.
Scheduling Systems and Process Automation
Scheduling systems and process automation are custom application specialties. For a national specialty pet retailer, we built a mobile scheduling platform within a six-month timeline. The main page load time went from 20 seconds to 1.5 seconds. Completed appointments added $800K per week. We have designed hundreds of microservice systems from the ground up.
Mobile Apps for Field Teams
We build native and cross-platform mobile apps. Cross-platform uses Flutter and React Native. Native uses Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android. We build apps for consumers and for internal business use. We build the back end, data and marketing parts an app needs. We test user interfaces with cloud tools such as AWS Device Farm, plus automated tests for native, cross-platform and web apps.
Data and Reporting for Operations
We build data warehouses, ETL pipelines, real-time data streaming, dashboards and reports. Databases include Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB. For the disaster management firm, reporting runs in Microsoft Power BI.

How Our Engineering Teams Work
Every engineer is senior level and clears a peer technical review, an advanced technical review and a background check. Our engineers can be your full team, or work beside your IT staff. Continuous integration and continuous delivery means you see working software early and often. AI work runs in your own AWS or Azure account. We do not send your data to a model that trains on it. We sign an NDA before technical discussions.
Start With a Free Technology Assessment
The Quick Launch Lab offers a complimentary technology assessment. It covers off-the-shelf versus extend current versus custom solution, cloud configuration, security or compliance audits, data and integration issues. You receive a document with all findings and recommendations. There is no obligation to move forward. You keep the deliverable.
Construction and Field Service Case Studies
Modernizing Knowledge Management with Agentic AI on AWS
We built an agentic AI system for an industrial products and services provider with a nationwide service footprint. The system covers thousands of manuals, procedures and field reports. The legacy knowledge base was retired and employees use it hundreds of times per week.
Emergency and Disaster Consulting Firm Expedites Relief for Survivors With New Grant System
We built a grant and case management platform for a disaster management consulting firm that sets up new programs in 24 hours. The system was load-tested for 50,000 concurrent applications within 30 minutes.
Implementing a GenAI-Powered Knowledge Base with AWS
We built a natural-language search over manuals, drawings and specs for a heavy building materials manufacturer. The system answers almost instantly.
