Senior Project Manager
JBS is looking for a versatile and hands-on Product / Project Manager
JBS is currently looking for a Product / Project Manager who can bridge the gap between delivery execution, product ownership, and ongoing support. This person will play a key role in managing both project delivery and post-launch product operations, including issue triage, prioritization, and cross-team coordination. You’ll work closely with clients, engineers, and support teams to ensure our custom software solutions run smoothly.
This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery and product operations across ecommerce and software initiatives, ensuring alignment on business goals, scope, and timelines.
- Own issue triage and support coordination — monitor incoming issues, prioritize effectively, and work with engineering to ensure timely resolution.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable work items for the development team.
- Drive Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros) and help maintain clear visibility into progress, blockers, and dependencies.
- Support pre-sales and discovery efforts, helping define solutions and delivery plans based on product capabilities and constraints.
- Communicate proactively with clients, ensuring expectations are managed and risks are surfaced early.
- Track and manage project budgets, deliverables, and change requests.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to improve internal workflows and delivery practices.
- Assist in documentation, release coordination, and transition from project delivery to support.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in project management, product management, or a hybrid role involving both.
- Proven ability to manage technical software delivery in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Ecommerce experience - familiarity with online retail systems, integrations, or commerce platforms.
- Strong technical acumen - comfortable talking APIs, integrations, and data flows with engineers.
- Experience managing support and triage workflows, including prioritization and client communication.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with an ability to drive clarity in complex, fast-moving environments.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and adapting as project needs evolve.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize client feedback, technical input, and business goals into a clear roadmap or backlog.
- Confidence and calm under pressure; ability to keep teams aligned and motivated through ambiguity.
Nice To Have
- Experience in Agile product ownership or Scrum Master roles (CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification).
- Background in software development or systems integration.
- Prior experience supporting post-launch product operations or managing ecommerce support teams.

This is a full-time position (40 hours / week) with the following benefits:
- Competitive base salary
- Private medical insurance
- Monthly internet stipend
- Generous PTO policy, company holidays
- Fully remote work (always will be)
