JBS Dev is seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our Agile team and contribute to a variety of exciting projects. If you’re passionate about quality, love asking the right questions, and enjoy collaborating in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you. You’ll be hands-on in writing and executing test cases, uncovering defects, and ensuring our applications deliver exceptional user experiences. Your insights will directly influence design improvements and help us build smarter, more reliable solutions for our clients.

We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.

Required Skills

  • Full time position web testing as a member our Agile development teams for various clients.

Experience:

  • 3+ Years
  • Experience with Agile Practices

Skills:

  • Able to write your own test cases against groomed cards.
  • Able to ask good questions of the application (ensuring design makes logical sense, offering improvements as seen).
  • Able to execute test cases, report defects, etc.
  • Participates in all Agile ceremonies for Team.
  • Understands various aspects of the business, grasp their processes and learn how they work together.
  • Deciphers between basic business requirements and technical requirements.

Tools:

  • Issue Tracking Software, e.g., JIRA, Trello
  • Test Case Repository, e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, QA Complete, etc

Nice To Have

  • Chrome Developer Tools / Lighthouse for testing / auditing purposes
  • RESTful API, e.g., Postman
  • Automation, e.g., Selenium, QA Complete, Appium, Applitools, Silk Test
